Amsterdam

So, here we are in Amsterdam.

We don't have a "selfie-stick" so had to make do with a traffic mirror.

We are having a few days here to recover from our jet lag before our cruise sails on Wednesday.
Actually, the flight from Singapore wasn't too bad. We were lucky in that we flew on an A350-900 which has a couple of centimetres more leg room than a Boing 777. It meant that I could put my knees together and stretch out a bit. We were also fortunate that the plane wasn't full and we had a row of three seats for the two of us.
Having been to Amsterdam about four years ago we don't feel the need to rush around and try to see everything, so we should be nice and relaxed when we get onto the ship.

We are sailing from Amsterdam up to the southern part of Norway, into a couple of fjords and Bergen, then across to a couple of ports in Svalbard, across to a couple of ports in Iceland then on to Rosyth (Edinburgh) before returning to Amsterdam. 20 nights all up!
Not sure how often I will be able to update this blog, it will depend on the availability of free wi-fi.
Anyway, if you are interested, keep checking. (Maybe there will be one long upload at the end of the cruise).
